Now having been to NY many times previously I was sort of prepared for the trip. Young Master Raymond was a rookie and he got the full treatment, Tours, Train rides, a walk through Central Park
Ok, Ok, so we saw it out the window of a commuter train the fact is that we did see it and you could sense the Pride of all those New Yorkers who were on the train with us as we passed that local Shrine.
It seems as though we ate our way through the sights and sounds as the food is great! Not taking anything away from Anthony Bourdain or Bobby Flay, where we got a chance to dine at his Mesa Grill, but Christ the food is good EVERYWHERE!!!
We especially liked the local cuisine and pastry made by the small Italian shops that abound in Brooklyn. The Pizza, the Cannoli the Italian Ices, all just the best.
We met up with #1 son and his lovely wife who gave us the cooks tour of their world. We got a glimse of NYU Law and Fordham Law schools as well as the local residential facilities in Williamsburg.
Well as the case with many of these adventures, we saved the best for last, We took a train ride to the little town of Phillips Manor home to the most understated cemetery in the world none other than Sleepy Hollow Cemetery made famous by Washington Irving and his story of Icabod Crane you get the picture.....
If you don't get out and travel you will never know what you could be missing.
