The Rising Cost of the American Way or "brother can you spare a dime".....

FOUR BUCKS A GALLON!!!! thats what the sign said as I wizzed past a gas station in Paso Robles. Christ I cant believe my eyes... FOUR BUCKS A GALLON!!! how did we get to this??? Some ones got some splaining to do

I am a reasonable guy, I like to take the tractor or my truck out for an occasional drive in the country or a short road trip to the Ranch in Paso but at these prices I gotta get a better more fuel efficient truck.

Now I looked at the Hybrids and they might be the PC thing to do but I am not convinced that the batteries are gonna last the 10 years they say they will and at a cost of just over 5 grand to replace them uh I'm not there yet.

There is the that Bio fuel deal but wow not sure I want to go hit up every Chinese restaurant for their used cooking oil and then process it in the backyard still and drive a vehicle that has that odor that strangely reminds me of French fries...

Wow what to do? I thought I might just get away, yeah take a trip. Jump on a plane well from the time I thought about it and started checking airline prices then moved to purchasing a ticked the prices had almost doubled and thats on top of the fact that they were double the price from this time last year... Not a good thing

Then there is the thing with the rice famine and the Beer hoarding or is it the other way around??? Whats up with that?? People (read Idiot PC Yuppies) are buying 20 and 30 sacks of rice at COSTCO because some news station reports that there is a shortage in Viet Nam. Oh My GOD!!! now the real concern should be the ever increasing price of Budweiser now there is the crisis.
